6mm Galvanised Steel Wire Rope Hook & Eye Straining Screw/Turnbuckle Pack of 2 Overview – When a wire rope is installed, it is very important to have the rope suspended at the correct tension. A wire rope that is too slack could pose as a threat to health and safety. Our range of Straining Screws / Turnbuckles are perfect for tightening wire ropes safely and easily. How to install – Installation is very easy, simply thread a length of wire rope around the thimble and use the wire rope grips to securely hold the wire in place. Then attach the hook of the straining screw / turnbuckle to the thimble. The eye/loop end of the turnbuckle can then be attached to a plate mounted hook. Once the turnbuckle is secured, simply turn the centre of the screw to tighten or slacken the wire rope.
